13. Make your own sugar scrub! It can be white or brown, either way it will help you get rid of the excess cells clogging up your pores. There are many different recipes for sugar scrub, but we recommend the one with honey, olive oil or just plain water! Mix 1 and 1/2 cups of white sugar and 1 and 1/2 cups of brown sugar, add in a few tablespoons of sea salt and mix. Then, pour the extra virgin olive oil over the top and let soak. Mint will help the redness fade away and it will ease up that painful swelling after the breakouts. In order to use mint on your skin, crush up a handful of fresh mint leaves thoroughly, and rub the juice and crushed leaves on your face. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
